JQuery SimpleUpload is a simple drag & drop ajax-upload script. You can upload files and pictures with it via Ajax. This Script has a flexible construction and it offers several possibilities, for example: you can adjust the upload options and it works with various Scriptlanguages (PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, etc.)
